Underage San Mateo Cyclist Struck Down By Vehicle

On Tuesday, December 9, 2008, a 17 year old boy on a bicycle sustained serious injuries when he was struck by a car in a crosswalk of a commercial area. Though the boy was transported to a hospital where he stayed overnight for observation, the 33 year old driver was not arrested.

Though this story seems to have a happy ending, many like it do not. Remember to be vigilant enough for yourself and the driver who may not be looking for you!
