Bicyclist Helps Wounded Marines
Competitive bicyclist Jim Penseyres, has been sharing both his considerable expertise and also his considerable love of bicycling with injured soldiers as of late.
A former marine himself, Penseyres has been organizing rides with Marines at Camp Pendleton to help today’s veterans deal with the “anguish and frustration” of war and its consequences. Although he admits he was perceived as “a grandpa” among the younger soldiers at first, he eventually won friendships and has been working and riding with a group of regulars since then.
